Friends Talk: Coughs and Sneezes with Richard Smout

Wednesday 19th June, 7.30pm (gate open from 7.15pm)

A look at what the archives tell us about historic public health issues on the Island, outbreaks of diseases and how we have tried to contain them.

This talk is organised by the Friends of Carisbrooke Castle Museum. The Friends are a small charity, which has worked for over 60 years to support the aims and activities of the Trustees of the Museum.

The Friends hold regular talks, meeting in the Museum ten times a year. These are varied in content but generally reflect the members’ interests in local history, social and art history.

Talks are free for members of the Friends; non-members are welcome to come as guests and we ask them for a minimum donation of £3 per talk.
