Thursday 3rd and Friday 18th October
Join us for an entertaining gambol through the life of a local heroine Isabella de Fortibus inside her medieval home. How did she manage to remain independent, survive and prosper in the turbulent times of male dominated 13th century England. Why did the island become her home? How did she get her own way? What were the dangers? She was the last private owner of Carisbrooke Castle and became known as the Queen of the Isle of Wight. But what was she really like?
This is a wonderful opportunity to experience this successful play, which debuted at Ventnor Fringe earlier this year, inside the former medieval great hall that Isabella made her home.
Please note: Gates open from 6.30-6.50pm with the performance starting at 7pm.
