‘War Horse’ Warrior

Brough Scott and Patrick Seely, the grandsons of General Sir Jack Seely, unveiled a statue of the General and his horse, Warrior, last week.  The statue is the work of the celebrated equine sculptor, Philip Blacker, and is situated in the Princess Beatrice Garden at Carisbrooke Castle.  The statue, commissioned by the Seely family, is complementary to the WWI exhibition, Men and horses go to War, currently on view in the Upper Gallery of the Museum.
